Tasting notes
Visual phase:
Cherry red color with reddish trim and slight violet hues. Good coat, bright and with abundant tear.
Olfactory phase:
Good intensity, with notes of ripe fruit, raspberry, blackberry and a slight sweet sensation of vanilla and menthol. With subtle touches of licorice, tobacco and roasted coffee. Very expressive and excellent integration of the barrel with the varietal aromas of the mencía.
Gustatory phase:
Powerful in the mouth, full-bodied and well structured. Good acidity, a touch of vanilla and menthol, and a velvety tannin that leaves a pleasant passage through the mouth.
Elaboration
100% Mencía grapes (13% vol.)
Macerated and fermented, with native yeasts, in contact with the skin of the grape at 25 ºC for 15-20 days in stainless steel tank. Stabilized and bottled, thus obtaining a wine rich in aromas.
